Animal Lantern

Animal lanterns were using the wire shape the frame of animals, use silk to made the skin of  animals, in the daytime, it is true to life, in the night, it is shine with dazzling brilliance, the biggest animal lanterns exhibitions in the world were Singapore Lantern Festival Safari 2005 in Singapore Chinese Garden and Canada Chinese Lantern Festival Video in 2008 at Toronto Rogers,  animal lanterns were very popular outside China, there also have some great animal lanterns in other foreign Lantern Festival.

Now I’ll show you some animal lanterns which we made in Lantern Festival Safari, and Rogers Lantern Festival.

   I need two floating Swan lanterns can you help me with a supply list and materials required and possibly a how to video or diagram sheet.What material do you use I’ve heard of rice paper but yours looks like cloth.

   Hi, in China we used nylon fiber material named “八米锻” or “五米缎”, and we didn’t sell lantern product directly, that’s too dear for foreign customers.

   You could check the pictures of Singapore Lantern Festival in my site post, a pair of Swans picture is in that post. And asking some craftsmen to make the lanterns according to the pictures.

   I grew up remembering the amazing lanterns in Singapore and Taiwan. I now live in San Gabriel, just outside of LA. We have a very large Asian / Chinese American population, but also neighbors who have never seen these kind of Chinese lanterns. Is there any way we could bring some of these amazing lanterns to display in our city (and maybe the artists, too?)
